Alex Jones emotional over Children In Need star
The One Show's Alex Jones was visibly moved to tears during a poignant segment on the popular BBC show.
Alex, alongside her co-host Roman Kemp, welcomed viewers from the iconic green sofa on Wednesday (November 13) and they were joined by star actress Daisy Ridley and later by Emily, a member of the Children in Need challenge team.
Emily, a 21 year old from North London who relies on a wheelchair and walking sticks for mobility, embarked on a walk down the famous tree-lined avenue to fundraise for Children in Need. After her three-day journey, Emily appeared on the show with Alex and Roman to discuss the gruelling conditions she faced, reports Wales Online.
Overwhelmed with emotion while discussing Emily's accomplishment, Alex struggled to find words. She remarked: "You can't even see on camera, I don't think, but when I watched you today, gosh, doing the long walk, honestly, it's so hard. It's so hard!"
Alex then asked: "I think it's one of the hardest challenges I've seen on Children in Need and you did it.

"How does it feel now that you've taken it on and you've absolutely conquered it?"
To which Emily responded: "It feels so good to have completed it because there was a part of me that really thought I couldn't, especially because I got sick just before. But I feel amazing to have completed it and I'm really proud of myself."
Touched by Emily's determination, viewers flocked to social media platform X to share their congratulations, with one user exclaiming: "Well done lass. You're a superstar!"
