Sunday Brunch: Guests flinch as massive crash heard in studio

Sunday Brunch guests along with host Tim Lovejoy were left terrified after a loud crashing noise unexpectedly hit the Channel 4 set while they were live on-air.

The loud sound, which could be likened to a pan falling or being dropped, happened off-camera while Simon Rimmer was cooking an oriental pork dish, all while his co-star Tim interviewed the celebrity panel.

On Sunday's episode (November 3), Tim and Simon were joined by Made In Chelsea star Binky Felstead, Dragon's Den legend Deborah Meaden, Man Down actor Mike Wozinak, comedian Bob Mortimer and singer Orla Gartland, when the clanging rippled through the studio.

As the noise hit, host Tim cried out:"Woah," as his co-chef Simon appeared on camera again, declaring to everyone, "Sorry," as he appeared to rectify the situation and added: "Sorry Tim."

Simon didn't confirm to viewers what had actually happened. It's unknown if he suffered a kitchen faux pas with the pan's lid exploding off or if he'd simply just dropped something, either way, faith was restored as they all carried on as normal, ignoring the cooking blip.

Made In Chelsea star Binky Felstead appeared on the programme, telling Tim and Simon that her career on the reality show was almost doomed after her brother Oliver took a stand after she'd signed up.

The mum-of-three explained that she had been young and living in London when she was approached by a producer during a night out in the capital city. They'd explained to her that they were planning to air a show called Chelsea Girls.

Binky admitted: "I'd probably had a few too many tequilla's at the time and was like 'yeah'." Immediately she was whisked off there and then to conduct a piece to camera, with keen producers who had spotted her potential.

A few weeks later, she got the call to say they wanted her to be on the programme. After telling her family the news, her brother Oliver "tried to call an intervention", telling her parents she'd show them all up on the show.

He was obviously overruled and Binky accepted the job, quickly becoming a Channel 4 fan-favourite. However in 2017, Binky announced she was expecting her first child with Made In Chelsea co-star Josh Pattinson.

She later decided to quit the show when she welcomed daughter India into the world, deciding to instead focus all of her attention on being a single mum after parting ways from Josh in 2018.

Binky went on to marry her now husband Max Fredrik Darnton. The pair married in 2021, and now share two children together - Wilder and Wolfie.

Sunday Brunch airs each Sunday on Channel 4, from 9:30am.
