BBC Breakfast: Nina Warhurst makes rare confession about husband
BBC Breakfast star Nina Warhurst is not one to talk about her private life but did let slip that her husband had a strict rule when it came to her job.
Nina had been joined on the iconic red sofa by her co-host Roger Johnson on Sunday (October 27), when talk turned to marriage and what type of behaviours aided with lasting relationships, from the viewpoint of Harry and Sandra Redknapp.
They had been chatting about Harry's own recent candid confession, in an interview with the Mirror, where he explained that he keeps any conversations on football and work out of his romance - as Sandra has no interest.
I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! winner Harry firmly believed that keeping his work and family life separate had led to his long-standing marriage to wife Sandra. Host Roger chuckled as Nina opened up about her home life, agreeing that she and her own husband had a very similar set of rules.
Approaching the conversation while flicking through the Sunday paper spreads Roger said: "Can I quickly say, on the page opposite I've noticed a picture of Harry Redknapp and his wife Sandra - who of course everybody got to see on I'm A Celebrity a few years ago."
Running into a quick digest about the article he relayed Harry's words. "My secret to a happy marriage, never talk about football."
Nina burst into laughter as Roger added: "I have to say I've been to their house to interview them a couple of times and what a lovely couple."
Agreeing, Nina added: "Yes I've met him he's a really nice bloke isn't he," before she continued to nod to his comments on marriage, saying: "I think lots of partners would say 'just don't talk about work'."
The host went on to confess: "Certainly my husband would." Realising she'd maybe said too much about her home affairs, Nina moved on quickly to the next newspaper spread.
Nina is married to Fed By Ted creator, Ted Fraser after the pair met on a whirlwind holiday - with their romance blossoming and the pair later tying the knot, just one year later.
Although they were married back in 2014, the loved-up pair had only met a year prior during a cosy trip to Croatia. The married couple share three children together, first son, Digby, with Michael joining in 2018, and their daughter Nancy arriving two years ago.
While Nina and Ted tend to keep their private life away from the spotlight, she has on occasion opened up about their relationship in a few social media posts shared on Instagram.
Just a few years back, to mark Ted's milestone 40th birthday, Nina took to the platform to chime in with praises, sharing a sweet collection of snaps along with the caption: "You are my favourite."
