Coronation Street: Tyrone buys Hope and Ruby a Chinchilla
Coronation Street enthusiasts are speculating that a soap icon might be bidding farewell, with a new job allegedly imminent.
Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall), a soap darling, first stepped onto the cobbles in 1998 and has since become one of the programme's most cherished characters. Tyrone has also been at the centre of numerous significant storylines over the years - from his tumultuous love affairs to enduring abuse from ex-fiancee Kirsty (Natalie Gumede), his stint in Weatherfield has been anything but drama-free.
This is particularly 'true' at present, as his daughter Hope (Isabella Flanagan) has been stirring up more trouble. Viewers will remember how the young girl was suspended from school after her vaping addiction was exposed.
Last week on the soap, things took a dramatic turn when she inadvertently put her entire family at risk by setting the living room ablaze due to one of her vapes.
This led to an irate Tyrone lashing out at Hope. Now, viewers are worried that not only Tyrone but also Ruby could be leaving.
Fans have speculated online that the duo might take a break from Weatherfield, and Hope, to visit his son Dorin in Romania, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Furthermore, an exit would align with Alan's rumoured upcoming gig: I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! The soap actor is among the many celebrities expected to feature in this year's series of the ITV show.
Speculation is rife among Coronation Street fans, with one viewer suggesting on a Corrie Facebook fan page: "Looks like Tyrone and Ruby have had enough of Hope....do you think they will go to Romania to see Dorin...just them two? ".

Another fan chimed in: "Yep and that way he can be written out for a while to go in I'm a celebrity which he's rumoured to have signed up for." Meanwhile, a third concurred: "Exactly...that is what I was also thinking.."
Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone, was previously linked to the 2023 series of I'm A Celebrity but allegedly had to withdraw due to an injury. The whispers about his participation are making the rounds again this year, with bookies at Betting Lounge placing him at odds of 1/2 to join the jungle jamboree.
