This Morning: Cat and Ben open show as things go 'wrong'
During Monday's edition of This Morning, Ben Shephard was absolutely speechless when unexpectedly, the programme's bosses presented him and co-host Cat Deeley with an extraordinary surprise.
The duo were chatting with Jeff Brazier, who was reporting live from New York, about ITV's current contest. As he stood in the middle of Times Square, he had an exciting twist to share with the presenters.
He remarked: "Guys, listen we are in New York City for the next few days showing you guys what you could win but first of all I'll be so upset if this isn't a first for you guys, I've brought you with me. Have a little look at this!"
Spinning around, Jeff unveiled a massive billboard featuring Ben and Cat's smiling faces right in the heart of Time Square.
The presenters were visibly astonished, with Cat issuing an audible gasp before exclaiming: "No way!"

Ben chimed in: "That's amazing! Jeff, can you please take a picture? ! Send pictures and send them over please."
Though they continued to discuss the competition details afterward, it was evident that the shock of seeing their images in such an iconic location lingered, as Ben struggled for words, reports the Mirror.
He commented: "I'm still... That Times Square with the picture of our show on?! That's just amazing."
Nevertheless, the segment didn't quite hit the mark with viewers tuning in at home, who quickly vented their spleen on Twitter over ITV's decision to send Jeff across the pond solely to plug the competition.
Viewers took to social media to question This Morning's decision to feature Jeff Brazier in New York, with many deeming it
unnecessary.
One person said: "Remind me why Jeff Brazier needs to be in New York, and Andi Peters in Singapore to promote a competition?! #thismorning"
Another exasperated fan posted: "New York? F****ng really #ThisMorning?"
Meanwhile, another comment read: "Why send him to New York just to sell a competition? Guarantee ITV bang on about net zero as well."
A disgruntled commenter remarked: "They're getting their money's worth with Jeff in New York!"
Someone else fumed: "So after burning fires in the forest last week, #thismorning once again doing their bit for the environment by sending Jeff Brazier to New York to promote a competition."
This Morning continues weekdays on ITV from 10am.
