Strictly; Shirley and Craig clash on panel after Jamie Borthwick's dance

A Supercomputer has been hard at work analysing Strictly Come Dancing data and has forecasted a surprising result for this year's winner.

After examining the archives and records of past winners and contestants, the Super-brain is convinced there can be only one clear winner - and it isn't any of the current "favourites" who are topping the leaderboard.

The Supercomputer has predicted that EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick will emerge as the 2024 worthy winner - based on past experiences from the BBC One show.

According to the analysis, conducted by The http://BonusCodeBets.co.uk Supercomputer, which accurately selected 33/1 outsider Hamza Yassin to win in 2022, has examined the characteristics of all previous 21 winners of the show, revealing that the typical ballroom champion for this year will be a 31-year-old male actor.

This means out of this year's contenders, East-London born Jamie almost perfectly fits the profile of a typical winner through his gender, occupation and age (30), reports OK!.

Based on historical victories, actors have claimed an impressive seven victories out of 21. Last year's winner supports this trend with Ellie Leach emerging victorious.

The list also includes the likes of Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher who wowed viewers and judges to eventually take the top spot on the winner's podium.

A spokesperson for http://BonusCodeBets.co.uk remarked: "With 21 years of the Glitterball trophy winners to analyse, the characteristics of a 'typical winner' clearly holds weight on who the Supercomputer says will be the victor this year.

"Knowing that history tends to repeat itself, we're backing Jamie Borthwick to be enjoying a few celebratory pints in the Queen Vic in 12 weeks' time."

Currently, former Love Island sensation Tasha Ghouri is leading the charge as the bookies' top pick to clinch victory, with her odds shifting from 5/1 to a promising 3/1 after her captivating performance in the first live show, according to figures from William Hill.

Before the show commenced, JLS heartthrob JB Gill was tipped for the top spot, but following his debut performance with dance pro Amy Dowden, his chances have drifted to 9/2.

The debate heats up as the series progresses, especially around contestants like Tasha and JB, who come with a background in dance, competing against those who are stepping onto the dance floor as complete novices.

During an appearance on ITV's Lorraine, JB addressed the controversy, stating: "All I can say is the only dance I did before was a jive. Other than that I have got no understanding of Ballroom or Latin dancing - other than what we did last week and this week with the Cha Cha - and it hurts."

Strictly will air tonight on BBC One from 7:15pm.
