Nick appeared on It Takes Two earlier this week where he gave more of an insight into how he obtained his injury, confessing he broke down on the motorway.
Wearing a sling, he told the BBC host explained as it was his birthday on the first live show, he had a celebration the following day with his family.
The DIY SOS star added: "I went to get my 10-year-old son and bring him back to the party, but we broke down on the motorway with a flat tyre.
"It was raining and there were big lorries going past, I tried to do it quickly and change the tyre quickly and as I took the tyre off I basically damaged my bicep."
At the time, Janette asked his professional dance partner how they'd adapt their routine following Nick's injury.
Looking at his sling, she confessed: "First of all, we will sparkle this part (his sling). Then we still have a perfect position on our right arm.
"We're going to do perfect footwork, we might even do a lift on that arm."
BBC viewers will see the pair try and move their way up the leaderboard this weekend after securing a score of 18 from the judges.
Currently 18th on the leaderboard, the DIY SOS star finds himself ahead of Paul Merson, Pete Wicks and Toyah Willcox.
However, storming ahead is JB Gill and Amy Dowden who earned an impressive 31 in week one.
Not far behind is Tasha Ghouri and Sarah Hadland as they were awarded a total of 30 for their routines.
