The Voice judge LeAnn Rimes' affair with Eddie Cibrian that destroyed two marriages

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian have been blissfully wed for 13 years, despite their romance igniting amidst controversy. Both were married to others when they metLeAnn to dancer Dean Sheremet and Eddie to television personality Brandi Glanville.

Their paths crossed on the set of the Lifetime movie Northern Lights in 2009, leading to a clandestine affair. In her tell-all book Drinking and Tweeting and other Brandi Blunders, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville exposed the affair's details.

She recounted a dinner where LeAnn and Eddie were inseparable, even in front of their spouses. Brandi wrote: "This woman, whom I had just met, spent more time flirting with my husband than acknowledging her own."

"And Dean, bless his heart, ate his sushi, laughed at all the right moments, and pretended that he didn't see exactly what was in front of him."

The night progressed to a karaoke bar, where, according to Brandi, LeAnn coaxed Eddie to perform with her instead of her husband, as reported by the Mirror, reports OK!.

Brandi continued: "I looked at Eddie's smiling face on that stupid, low-rent stage and leaned over to Dean and said, 'You know they're f******g, right?'"

LeAnn brushed off the tension as just "being silly" while Eddie managed to reassure her that there was nothing inappropriate occurring. Nonetheless, by March 2009, photographs of LeAnn and Eddie locked in a kiss during a dinner date were splashed across the front pages.

At the time, Brandi and Eddie's children, Mason and Jake, were five and two years old respectively.

When they made their separation public in July, Brandi said: "Eddie and I have decided to take some time apart. I want to do what is best for our children [Mason and Jake]. Eddie and LeAnn deserve each other."

The finalisation of their divorce came swiftly in October 2010. Elsewhere, it appeared that LeAnn and her then-husband Dean were going through a rough patch but were attempting to mend their relationship. However, they officially ended their marriage in June of that same year.

Shortly after, in December 2010, Eddie proposed to LeAnn, leading to their wedding in April of the following year. But the saga continued, with LeAnn and Brandi clashing for an extended period over the affair.

In April 2018, it appeared the celebrity feud had been laid to rest when Brandi Glanville tweeted: "The three of us sat and talked for hours hashed everything out and the feud with @leannrimes Eddie and I is over."

However, the peace didn't last as earlier this year, Brandi reignited the drama by accusing LeAnn and Eddie of preventing her from seeing her kids.

Taking to social media in March, Brandi expressed her frustration: "It's very crazy that I've been alone for this entire week and I can't be with my children because it happens not to be my week in our divorce settlement."

LeAnn appeared unfazed by the ongoing tension, telling ABC News: "It happens every day to so many people."

Now LeAnn is preparing to make her debut as a coach on The Voice tonight alongside Sir Tom Jones, Will.I.Am and Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher.
