The Repair Shop expert says 'love you brother' after co-star bids farewell

The Repair Shop expert Julyan Wallis told his co-star Richard Talman "Love you brother" after he confirmed he'd wrapped up filming for the latest series of the BBC programme.

Earlier this week, Richard delivered an emotional goodbye to his fellow cast members as he announced the close of filming for series 10. On Instagram, accompanying a sneak peek video from behind the scenes featuring the production team, Richard expressed gratitude, highlighting the end of the current season's journey.

In his heartfelt message, he wrote: "Well, that's the end of filming series 10 for me! What a wonderful season with some fantastic people I have the pleasure to call workmates. You all know the experts, so wanted to feature the incredible production team that makes the series possible."

Signing off with immense thanks and a shoutout to their joint efforts, he added: "@therepairshop Thank you for having me. It's a wrap, as they say!"

Fellow Repair Shop connoisseur Julyan Wallis offered warm sentiments, saying: "Love you brother. See you next year."

The pair's colleagues also liked the post including Pete Woods, Kirsten Ramsay, and the Teddy Bear Ladies, Amanda and Julie.

The clip was a brief montage of Richard with the behind-the-scenes crew who never feature on the programme.

The expert's followers were also delighted by the post, with one writing: "Everyone involved in The Repair Shop is truly amazing. So much love for everyone involved in making this awesome programme."

A different admirer commented on the contribution of the dedicated team: "Richard, thanks for sharing this, these folks are the unsung heroes."

Beyond the BBC show, Richard and Julyan specialise in completely different fields and both run their respective businesses. Richard runs his own jewellery business while Julyan repairs guitars.

In this week's episode of The Repair Shop, Richard transformed a ring into a pendant. Taking to his Instagram to show the repair, the expert wrote: "This is the ring that I made into a pendant in tonight’s episode. A piece of jewellery with a remarkable tale of horrific hardship for Janina, a young Polish girl who was orphaned at 13, who was rewarded it for selflessly helping a lady in the Jewish ghetto of WW2.

"Brought in by daughter Halina and her daughter Lesley, I followed their wish to have it made into a pendant so it could remain close to the heart of the wearer for future generations." (sic)
