Emmerdale: Kim survives explosion and Harriet dies
Emmerdale is set to ignite screens with an explosive new stunt, says producer Sophie Roper. Confirmed filming sees the ITV favourite preparing to outdo their past spectacles like the unforgettable Hotten Bypass pile-up or the dramatic cliffside plunge involving Chloe Harris last year.
Speaking to The Mirror among other media outlets, Roper revealed: "We've got a lot of stunts coming up - some we're actually filming this week."
Adding fuel to the excitement, she hinted at the scale of the drama: "What I can tell you is there will be fire engines involved. So take from that what you will. It's going to be a really explosive week of Emmerdale."
Fire isn't the only thing heating up in the Dales; viewers are on edge as fan-favourite Belle Dingle faces off against the dastardly Tom King, who has been subjecting his wife to a sinister campaign of abuse and manipulation.
Can Belle break free from his control?
Discussing the intense scenes, she revealed: "Belle and Tom is obviously a huge storyline for us at the moment and incredibly important but difficult storylines to watch at the moment. It's resonating with our audience because, of course, it's such a huge, real issue. We're continuing with that story, trying to be really truthful to those kinds of relationships."
"We've got a special episode coming up that sees Tom and Belle head off to Wales on a trip away together. Actually we recreated Wales in Yorkshire. Our fantastic design team used a cottage in the village that we redressed and made this beautiful Welsh retreat. The story, set to the backdrop of this beautiful cottage, is going to be really hard-hitting."

She further hinted at what viewers can expect from the distressing scenes: "Tom is very much isolating Belle from her family, from her surroundings, from everything that she knows and loves, which is unfortunately a typical trait of abusers. It will be difficult drama at moments, but a really important message and a really important story to continue to tell."
