Strictly Come Dancing's head judge Shirley Ballas has opened up about her thoughts on retirement and the challenges it presents.
The dance legend, who took over from Len Goodman on the hit BBC show in 2017, candidly discussed her future plans and family life in an exclusive chat with Woman's Weekly.
Shirley revealed: "The problem is, I love it when new opportunities come my way. I'm always excited by them. I'm sure things will calm down one day, but it won't be any time soon!"
Despite approaching her 64th birthday this September, Shirley shows no signs of slowing down, admitting that her career is actually "escalating." However, she acknowledged the need to "balance things a bit better" and to carve out more "time off to go on holiday."
It seems talent runs in the family, as Shirley's son, Mark Ballas, shines as a professional dancer on America's Dancing with the Stars.

Mark resides in the USA with his wife, the talented singer-songwriter BC Jean, and their adorable baby boy, Banksi, who has completely stolen Shirley's heart.
She gushed: "I went to see Banksi when he was six weeks old and again when he was two months.
"I'm going over in July, and I'll be flying there for five days in between Strictly to celebrate his first birthday in November."
Shirley also shared how technology keeps her connected with her grandson: "I get to say hello to him every day on FaceTime too.

Embracing her role as a glamorous grandmother, Shirley expressed that being a "glam-ma" offers a "different kind of feeling to being a mum myself."
Following a health scare, Strictly's judge Shirley revealed the news of her cancer-free diagnosis to her fans.
In an Instagram post in April, she expressed: "Thank you to you all for your well wishes following my two mammograms, one ultrasound and three biopsies last week. I am feeling blessed to share that my results have come back all clear - there is no cancer present. X".
