beloved character Leanne Battersby, portrayed by Jane Danson is set to make a silent exit from Weatherfield next week. In official spoilers released by ITV, Toyah Battersby (played by Georgia Taylor) stumbles upon an online forum for former members of the Altovalent Institute.

She attempts to show Leanne a concerning post about the Institute, only to find it has been removed due to legal issues. Leanne dismisses Toyah's concerns but decides to call Rowan Cunliffe (Emrhys Cooper). Rowan claims that his disgruntled ex-partner wrote the post and assures Leanne there's no truth in her accusations.

Upon revealing his promotion to head of the North-West division and offering Leanne a tour of the Institute, she is flattered. Leanne tells Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) about a man named Jared, whom she met at the Institute who is willing to assist him with his food delivery app, but Toyah overhears their conversation.

When Simon announces that Jared has agreed to meet him and he'll need to borrow some money, Leanne is thrilled, but Toyah suspects another scam. She scrutinises Rowan's page and jots down a number.

Toyah arranges a meeting with Rowan's ex, Una, portrayed by Elizabeth Arends, expressing her fears about her sister's involvement with the Institute and potential danger. Will she receive the confirmation she dreads?

As Leanne departs for the retreat, Toyah pleads with her to rethink her decision, but Leanne remains steadfast.

Simon is devastated to discover she's left without a farewell. Skiving off work, the youngster drowns his sorrows in alcohol, only to end up vomiting in Tim Metcalfe's (Joe Duttine) taxi and fleeing without settling the fare.

Leanne has been caught in the web of a dark cult, completely captivated by Rowan's influence.

In recent scenes, Rowan persuaded Leanne to experience "uploading" for the first time a harrowing process that made her confront her most painful memories, including the loss of her son Oliver.

Corrie: Leanne tells Nick to move out

Convinced that Rowan had her best interests at heart, Leanne confessed her feelings of guilt over Oliver's passing, feeling it was retribution for her past wrongdoings.

Encouraged by Rowan to delve further, she disclosed her past as a sex worker, believing that "uploading" these recollections would pave the way to a brighter outlook.

However, when Leanne stepped away to fetch water, Rowan sneakily used his phone to record their entire conversation.

With Leanne admitting to orchestrating the fire at Valandro's, the question arises: will Rowan use this recording to blackmail her?

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV.
