This Morning's Ben Shephard brought the ITV show to an abrupt halt for an 'urgent' announcement, leaving viewers perplexed. Just a fortnight ago, Tipping Point's Ben interrupted the programme as shocking footage of the Household Cavalry horses running wild through London's streets began to surface, showing visibly distressed horses and a fallen rider.
However, Tuesday's 'breaking news' was of a completely different nature, with a hint given by co-host Cat Deeley standing in the This Morning studio holding a pair of padded underpants. After lamenting the UK's unpredictable Bank Holiday weather, Ben suddenly announced: "We start today's show with some breaking news!
"They've been all over breakfast television this morning. I know Lorraine was talking about them and I'm sure they were on Good Morning Britain as well; but Marks and Spencer are finally selling the bum boosting pants we've all been waiting for!"
Taking over from Ben, Cat added: "Step aside Kim Kardashian, because the nation can now rock a big bum for the bargain price of just £15!, reports Chronicle Live.
"Ben then disclosed that amidst the buzz about the product, This Morning had carried out a 'consumer test' by sending twins out to gauge if they justified the price, with one twin donning them and the other not, as Cat chimed in: "Whose rear rated top?"
A segment was then shown of the twins interacting with passers-by, who were invited to offer their opinions and questioned on whether they would purchase the trousers.
Meanwhile, Cat's appearance on the show has been sparking a strong reaction from viewers as she has shown off a variety of different outfits.

During Tuesday's episode (May 1), Cat looked stunning as she opted for a Mint Velvet white floral lace mini dress to present alongside Ben.
However, despite the hefty price tag of £199, fans were divided about the glamorous outfit, as they took to social media to share their thoughts.
One said: "My gran had a tablecloth like Cat's dress," while a third remarked: "Wearing a large doily as a dress is not a good look."
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV1.
