Anneliese Dodds quizzed by Kate Garraway on Labour's Gaza stance

Good Morning Britain hosts Ed Balls and Kate Garraway have come under fire for an aggressive interview with Anneliese Dodds. The chair of the Labour Party appeared on the flagship breakfast show to discuss various topics including her party's stance on Gaza.

However, viewers were not impressed by the tone of the chat claiming that the presenters weren't letting her talk. They took to X, formerly known as Twitter to shre their views.

@Elaineewald3 fumed: “@GMB @kategarraway What a nasty aggressive interview! Shame on Kate Garraway and Ed Balls! Just pure gotcha TV wouldn’t let Anneliese Dodds finish a sentence, this is becoming the norm for GMB showing their bias for all to see! Disgusting journalism.”

@DonAng1968 had a similar sentiment writing: “@GMB @kategarraway Ed shut up and let people talk . Stop talking over them . You keep trying to talk over Kate.Do you get paid by the word?”

@patchdennizen enquired: “#GMB Why is Kate being so abrupt with Anneliese Dodds when she is making valid points?” @AlfonsoBonso observed: “Kate and Ed seem a bit shouty? #gmb.”

However @Rpjust66 Was on the presenters side opining: “@GMB @kategarraway Dodds out of her depths.”

The politician was speaking to the studio live from Oxfordshire on a very misty morning.

During the chat the she was quizzed on the partys result in the recent local elections and how it was affected by their stance on Gaza. Responding she said: "The situation [in Gaza] is an inolerable one and we are seeing that.

"And I understand why people are desperately concerned about it and the country should be doing what it can about it," she said.

Figures from the local elections released on Friday (May 3) revealed that while Labour was on course to be the largest party, they were set to fall short of gaining an overall majority at the next general election.

The indication is that Labour would win 294 seats overtaking the Conservatives if changes in vote share occur uniformly across each of the newly-drawn constituencies for the next general election - expected to take place in the second half of this year.

However, Keir Starmer's party would be 32 seats short of a Commons majority, according to Sky News.

Good Morning Britain is on ITV weekdays at 6am.
