BBC Breakfast: Carol Kirkwood appears to forget Naga's name

star  found herself under pressure during the latest instalment of the breakfast news programme. Monday's episode (April 29) was hosted by and , while Carol appeared to share her weather reports with viewers.

The two presenters were excited before talking to Carol as she revealed that the UK are finally set for warmer temperatures. Ahead of one report, Sally, 52, ended up exposing the metorologists's "promise" she made earlier in the show.

Sally told Jon: "Now do you remember, about half an hour ago, Carol promised us the most fabulous amount of detail, glorious sunshine and weather coming up now..."

Jon giggled as Sally realised she was perhaps building up Carol's report "too much". She asked: "Am I giving her too much of a build up?"

The 54-year-old agreed before Sally pulled a worrying look for the camera. "No pressure!" exclaimed Jon before Sally quipped: "Take it away!"

Promising highs of 21 degrees celsius next week, Carol's forecast updates clearly satisfied Sally as she responded "brilliant news" at the end of her report. It comes after Carol's return to BBC Breakfast sparked concern amongst fans.

The 61-year-old made her TV comeback last Monday (April 22) following more than a weeks absence, with Matt Taylor and Sarah Keith-Lucas forced to step in while she was off.

Upon her return, viewers took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their worries for Carol as they claimed her voice sounded "terrible". One wrote: "@BBCBreakfast someone please give Carol a throat sweet, she sounds terrible."

Another agreed: "Good morning. You sounded a little croaky this morning. Hope you OK." Meanwhile, a third joked: "Carol sounds like she's been on a mad one all weekend. This woman needs a Lemsip."

Before taking a break from BBC Breakfast, Carol was applauded by her co-stars for making it through the show despite not sounding her best.

Sally gave her credit for continuing to host the weather report despite issues with her voice as she said: "Carol, I know you'll be keeping an eye on that [Storm Kathleen], and well done - we've got to the end of Breakfast and your voice has survived. It's an achievement. Go and rest."
