Britain's Got Talent enthusiasts are on high alert, claiming they've cracked the case of Bobby Goldfinn's true identity after spotting a significant 'clue'.

ITV's Britain's Got Talent aficionados are convinced that a celebrity is masquerading behind the goldfish mask, anticipating a grand reveal akin to The Masked Singer's surprise unmaskings.

During the premiere on Saturday (April 20), an enigmatic figure known as Bobby Goldfinn, clad in his aquatic disguise, attempted to elicit laughter from the panel of judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli.

However, Bobby Goldfinn's act floundered as he repeatedly botched his jokes, attributing the mishaps to a goldfish's short memory span, which resulted in a unanimous red buzzer dismissal from the stone-faced judges.

Post-act, Simon Cowell delivered a zinger: "Well, the good thing is you're going to forget this ever happened."

In a twist befitting his character, Bobby Goldfinn appeared to suffer an actual memory lapse, returning later in the episode only to fumble his punchline again, earning another round of decisive buzzers.

But the tale of Bobby Goldfinn didn't end there; his tenacity knew no bounds as he attempted a third stage invasion.

This prompted laughter from presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, who intervened to guide the dogged performer away from the spotlight.

Bobby Goldfinn's identity has left fans on social media in a wild guessing game, with many suspecting a famous face may be hiding behind the mask. A frenzy of speculation spread across Twitter as viewers shared their theories.

One fan humorously suggested: "Be funny if the goldfish man was somebody famous taking the p*** #BGT".

A second speculated: "Bobby Goldfin is probably somebody that's already famous. Reveal coming soon, no doubt. #BGT". Joining the conversation, another added: "There's so gonna be someone famous under this fish mask... it's giving masked singer vibes #BGT."

Complicating matters further, The Sun alleges that Bobby Goldfinn may be a rising comedian from Massachusetts named Bobby Finn, who touts a noteworthy 335K followers on Instagram and an impressive 649.1K on TikTok.

Fans are eagerly anticipating more appearances from Bobby Goldfinn on Britain's Got Talent. One excited viewer shared: "Wondering how many more appearances Bobby Goldfinn will make on #BritainsGotTalent", while another confidently predicted: "I think Bobby Goldfinn will make an appearance every week! #bgt #britainsgottalent."

In related news, the stage lit up as WestEnd singer Sydnie Christmas and the Ssaulabi Performance Troupe, showcasing their martial arts skills all the way from South Korea, both secured the prized Golden Buzzers in Saturday's show, securing their spot in the semi-finals.

Britain's Got Talent continues tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
