star admitted "It's just amazing" as she opened up about the moment she found out Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard were taking over from Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as the show's main presenters. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Josie, who has often stepped in to present This Morning, said: "I started watching Cat Deeley what feels like my whole life.

"I've grown up with Cat Deeley so for her to be part of the This Morning family is just amazing. You know, when you've grown up watching somebody and then all of a sudden you're working with them, it is amazing, and then Ben...I've known Ben for a long time and he's always been very lovely, very genuine, he's always sort of had my back as well. He is brilliant."

The mum-of-one went on to admit she only found out about the news moments before it was announced to the public. She continued: "We had an email to discuss it before it was announced but it was kept a secret for a long time.

"I don't know when they were offered the job but it was kept a secret for a long old time, and then we were told about it before it was announced and I was really happy it was Ben and Cat.

"But I think everybody does an amazing role on there, and This Morning is all about all our contributors and you know all the people that come on to share their story and our viewers as well."

Josie Gibson

Josie, who began her This Morning journey hosting the competition segments, now often co-hosts the main programme when her co-stars are absent.

She recently stood in for Alison Hammond after she took a month-long break from the show.

"I am so happy with what I do because I do a bit of everything," Josie beamed before adding: "I'm in the studio when they need me, I am out on the road when they need me, I go and do competitions when they need me so I do a bit of everything.

"I love being out on the road and I love being in a studio. So I'm very fortunate that I can be such a versatile presenter."

Josie Gibson and son Reggie answer questions about healthy food

Aside from her presenting duties, Josie and her son Reggie have recently teamed up with Yoplait to promote healthier eating among children.

The campaign aims to get kids eating more yoghurt again as research shows kids are swapping yoghurt for more sugary foods like biscuits and sweets.

When speaking about why she wanted to get involved in the campaign and why it is important to her, Josie said: "So we wanted to get involved because we've always got Frubes or we've always got Petit Felous in the fridge.

"And then Yoplait put some research out and this shows that kids are more likely to go for snacks like chocolate and biscuits instead of yoghurts, so we wanted to get on a bit of a mission with Yoplait to bring yoghurts back into their diets.

"It's full of vitamin D, you've got all the calcium for them and it's got no nasty additives and no nasty sugars. So yeah, I thought it was a perfect campaign for us to get involved in."

Yoplait is to hand out free yoghurt to children as part of their mission to get families across the UK eating the good stuff again. The initiative is aimed at helping children develop healthy bones so keep your eyes peeled in the upcoming weeks!
