BBC's Beyond Paradise star hints at series 3 as she spills on behind-the-scenes "conversations". The Death in Paradise spin-off has fans on tenterhooks as one of its stars drops hints about a potential third series.

Zahra Ahmadi, who portrays DS Esther Williams, shared an update in a new interview and has not ruled out a show comeback.

"We don't know yet but we've certainly had conversations about it with each other, " the star told HELLO! "That's a big hope, for me certainly, and I think we all share that."

Her co-star Felicity Montagu, who brings Margo Martins to life, chimed in with her own aspirations: "I would love to but we'll just have to see. I don't think any of us know yet."

Despite no official word from the BBC on the future of Beyond Paradise, the cast's experience filming in the picturesque settings of Devon and Cornwall was nothing short of delightful.

Felicity praised the team spirit, saying: "It's like joining a family. You feel so comfortable. Everyone is supportive, they're not competitive. What's wonderful is that we all get on so well and we give each other space if that's what we need. But actually, we're going on that ship together, which is a lovely feeling and it feels so safe."

Zahra also expressed her gratitude towards the production company: "We're really blessed with Red Planet. I've never worked with such a caring, warm and positive production company before. Our crew is second to none."

Beyond Paradise, which first hit our screens last year on BBC One, brought back fan-favourite Death in Paradise detective DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) and his betrothed Martha Lloyd (Sally Bretton).

The spin-off has swapped the Caribbean backdrop of its predecessor for the South West, setting up shop in the fictional Devonshire town of Shipton Abbott.

Beyond Paradise returns to BBC One Friday at 8pm
