CBB: Fern talks about Prince William with Gary Goldsmith
Fern Britton has claimed Prince William "must be furious" while discussing the Royal Family with Princess Kate's uncle Gary Goldsmith on Celebrity Big Brother this evening (Wednesday, March 6).
The former This Morning star asked Gary if he'd ever met Meghan Markle who is married to Prince Harry, but he explained he had not. The couple stepped down from being senior members of the Royal Family to start a new life in America.
Airing her views on Prince William and Prince Harry's reportedly strained relationship, the 66-year-old presenter said: "My feeling is that William must be furious to suddenly have the weight of it all on his head and his shoulders."
"He could have shared it," she added of the future King's responsibilities as Gary said: "While they are trying to modernise it..."
Gary gushed over William, adding: "I think he's done an amazing job, certainly in that horrible situation.
He claimed: "He [William] always seems like he's had an olive branch open every time for Harry to come back and be part of the gang."
An intrigued Fern continued to probe: "Has he?" Gary replied: "I desperately feel like that's the case, it's difficult..."
Turning her attention to King Charles III, Fern expanded: "For a father to see two beloved sons waring that way is heartbreaking..."

He explained: "There's this kind of code of etiquette... If it's announced, I'll give an opinion. I think the most important thing is, she's getting the best care in the world."
Gary insisted Kate's loved ones were "putting family first" as CBB housemate Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu said she hoped the royal was OK.
"I've heard mixed things about Kate, but whatever it is, we want her to come back," the Love Island star shared.
Elsewhere in the episode, Gary admitted he wanted to change the public's perception of him after referring to himself as the black sheep of the family.
Housemate Sharon Osbourne, 71, told him: "So, we're going to have a nice little chat, Gary. Tell me why did you accept the offer to come into the house?"
He replied: "It does bother me what the public perception of me is. The black sheep of the family. I'm a normal bloke. It just so happens that my niece married Will."
The businessman added: "If I could show people I'm not that person. I've really put myself out there because this isn't my world. Ultimately, I'm not a celebrity. I don't want to be a celebrity, I don't want to go down that path."
