The Traitors: Ross reveals Diane is his Mum

BBC Radio 2 listeners took to social media on Friday morning to say that they've "switched off" from Zoe Ball's Breakfast Show. The station was slapped with complaints after Zoe continued to talk about the BBC reality TV series, The Traitors.

The Traitors is back for a second series, where 22 contestants are locked in a Scottish castle to compete for a prize of up to £120,000. As the season prepares to make an epic conclusion this week, it seems that everyone including Zoe is completely hooked on the show.

The English presenter continually spoke about the thrilling series, which aired last night on BBC One and saw another contestant being banished. However, not everyone was too pleased about her constantly talking about it.

One person said on X: "@BBCRadio2 that's me done with the breakfast show. Miss Ball has finally driven me into the arms of @greatesthitsuk with her incessant obsessive jibber jabber about traitors."

A second wrote: "@bbcradio2 Jeeezuss Christ how many more time is Zoe going to mention the T word on her show, almost as bad as when Eurovision is on and S Mills keeps banging on about it...can’t stand either."

A third moaned: "Rant alert: I am sick to death of Zoe Ball talking about nothing but Traitors…I didn’t listen to her much but after listening to @OwainWynEvans I leave it on, but no more. Ok lots do watch it but the obsession with it on the show is too much. Rant ends."

A fourth also said: "Does this Traitors thing end soon? I'm sick of hearing Ball rant on about it on Radio 2 of a morning." A fifth penned: "I agree. I wondered if she was being paid a bonus to constantly talk about. I’ve had to switch off this morning."

The BBC show, which is hosted by Claudia Winkleman, has captivated audiences as contestants compete for a cash prize worth £120,000, whilst a number of Traitor players attempt to steal the money.

As the series heads into its final week, there are now only two remaining Traitor players: Harry and Andrew. During last night's episode, Ross was banished from the roundtable and he revealed his true identity as Diane's son.

Diane Carson, who became an internet sensation, was a previous contestant on the show and managed to avoid being "murdered" until last week. Ross was then recruited as a new Traitor after Paul was banished from the castle.

In order for Harry and Andrew to win and steal the cash prize, at least one of them needs to survive the roundtable discussions and convince the remaining Faithfuls to vote for the game to end.

The Traitors concludes this Friday at 9pm on BBC One.
