The Traitors decide who to 'murder' next

fans were stunned in the first week of the series when it was revealed there was a mother-and-son duo in the midst. Diane, who was "murdered" in the latest episode, revealed Ross was her son, but they'd kept the fact a secret from their team.

While there was no big reveal in the end because Diane was eliminated before the secret was exposed, a former The Traitors star has suspected the 63-year-old could also have had other connections within the group of contestants.

Ash Bibi, who was banished before being exposed as a traitor, has said she believes other contestants Tracey or Sonia could have been friendly with Diane. She explained: "Now I’m wondering, and if I could pick any, I always suspected that maybe there was a pre-existing friendship in the group.

"With Tracey and Diane, or even Sonia and Diane, because they’re from the same area."

Speaking to The Sun, she continued: "But now I’m like yes, could there be? That’s an interesting theory and it will be interesting to hear how that plays out."

She also told the publication she had no idea that Diane and Ross were related.

She admitted to "screaming out loud" when she found out.

"Because even subsequently people are saying there’s a resemblance and I still can’t see the resemblance," she confessed.

Diane was among the latest to leave the show after being given the "poison chalice" by Miles.

Miles ended up being banished at the roundtables but, despite lots of evidence pointing towards Paul, the contestants still don't seem to want to turn on him.

He is safely into the next episode, but will he finally be caught out?

The series has gripped viewers, with plenty of extra drama in the mix.

Ash was the first and, for a while, only traitor to have been caught out until Wednesday when Miles joined her.

The Traitors continues on Friday at 8pm on BBC One.
