Emmerdale: Angelica reveals she was driving
Emmerdale fans were left stunned and branded ITV soap star James Hotton "unrecognisable" after he posted his muscles on his Instagram page. Viewers are used to seeing James playing Sam Dingle and wearing a khaki parka with matching trousers, fitting with his life in the Dales.
However, actor James has built up an incredibly muscular physique over the years and proudly shows it off on his social media accounts. James is a keen rock climber and documents his fitness and climbing journey with his fans, leaving them stunned.
On his Instagram page, he shows off his skills by climbing various structures, including viaducts and boulders with his bare hands.
He spends his weekends travelling to different parts of the country in search of the best climbing spots, sharing footage from places.
James was left stunned with a climbing facility that he found in Majorca and posted: "I was SO tired last night, I just had to climb into bed!"
Fans have noticed his stacked physic over the years and often comment on his wilding different appearance on his Instagram.
One comment on his social media noted: "OMG never thought Sammy was such a DILF", while another says: "You must have muscles of steel."
Back in 2018, he posted a topless snap and said it was down to his regular climbing sessions, sharing his body with the world on X, formerly known as Twitter.
He shared a photo of himself and said: "Session complete! #everythingaches," leaving former Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas to reply: "Beast!!!!!"

James' character recently had a rocky year with his wife Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) being raped by her ex-boyfriend and employer.
He also struggled to get his son Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) to grow up and look after his daughter Esther Spencer (Florence Mae Dyson), who he shares with Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell).
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
