Eamonn Holmes discusses online friendship with Kate Beckinsale
Eamonn Holmes took a dig at his wife, ITV presenter Ruth Langsford, on the latest instalment of his GB News programme after showing viewers a photograph of actress Kate Beckinsale "licking" a mask of his face at a New Year's Eve bash.
Addressing GB News viewers, Eamonn shared: "This is page three in The Mirror and you will see me here with the actress with her tongue firmly entrenched in my ear is Kate Beckinsale."
As the bizarre image was aired to viewers, his co-host Isabel Webster added: "She is obsessed with you, Eamonn."
Eamonn went on to admit he'd never met the Pearl Harbour actress, but branded her "very kind and very friendly" as he revealed they are virtual pals.
The broadcaster then took a brutal swipe at his wife Ruth Langsford as he joked: "[Kate's] just waiting for something to happen to Ruth."
The panel burst into laughter over Eamonn's dark humour before Isabel said: "It's so showbiz that they have never actually met, but they are friends."
Eamonn couldn't resist adding: "She did say she would call and see me when she is next over..."
When asked what it was like having his face as a cardboard cutout at a Hollywood New Year's Eve party, Eamonn replied: "My physical form has been abused."
Isabel also revealed she had 10 Eamonn cardboard face cutouts at her hen party a decade ago on her hen party as they used to work together at the time.

Isabel, who could not seem to drop the subject, shared: "Our make-up artist actually found a blow-up doll with your face on it!"
In response to her comment, Eamonn remarked: "And could I just say, the bits that blew up were very embarrassing."
It comes days after 50-year-old actress Kate admitted she was staggered to have the broadcaster "turn up" to her party as she welcomed 2024.
American actress Kate shared a snap of herself licking the mask of Eamonn with her social media followers.
She penned: "We were surprised, to say the least when @eamonnholmes turned up at our house on New Year's Eve and we handled it with grace.
"However, my mother was disappointed that his cough and his Nike slides prevented him from doing an adequately festive Riverdance which we thought was the least he could do as an unexpected guest."
