Coronation Street: Tim is attacked by Stephen

Coronation Street's Tim Metcalfe actor Joe Duttine recently performed some stunts for the episodes in Super Soap Week but admitted to noticing a small blunder in the final cut of the episodes.

During Monday night's episode, Tim was adamant to find out the truth and took himself back down to the canal.

Prodding and poking, he managed to push open the lid and exposed a skeleton hand which floated to the surface.

He immediately ran back to his cab and decided to call the police, but little did he know that Stephen Reid (played by Todd Boyce) was waiting for him.

Sneaking into the back of his cab, Tim tried to play it cool but Stephen had other plans and tried to strangle him with his tie whilst he was driving.

Managing to escape, Tim got out of the car and ran down an alleyway, but it was his shoelace that became his downfall as Stephen caught up to him and knocked him unconscious.

Actor Joe Duttine recently opened up about what it was like filming the stunt scenes on location and admitted he did notice where the change between him and the stunt double happened in the episode.

He told Express.co.uk and other press: "It is great to do something different and it is great to get out of the building.

"When you get to genuine and real locations it just adds a certain reality to it! It is just nice to be involved, it was good to get out and do something different and do something physical and challenging.

"I think the only time I saw the stunt double is when he fell on the floor... I thought his jeans were a bit tighter than mine when he hit the deck.

"But I think that is the only time we used him. I said 'If we can I want to do them', but he is fitter than me, stronger than me so he was a bit slighter than me.

"So I said 'If we can, can I just do the stunts?'."

Tonight, Tim is left in the boot of the taxi in an unknown location as Stephen attempts to flee Weatherfield for good.

Will he be able to get away just in time?

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
