Snoop Dogg has responded to a new Kendrick Lamar lyric about his support of Drake during the two rappers’ public feud this summer.

Lamar surprise-released his new album ‘GNX’ yesterday, by posting a link on his social media pages  at 5pm UK time on Friday (November 22), with the 12-track, 44-minute release now on all major music streaming platforms.

Fans quickly picked up on a reference to Snoop Dogg on the song ‘wacced out murals’, where Lamar raps: Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made,’ I prayed it was the edibles/I couldn’t believe it, it was only right for me to let it go.

The lyric references Drake’s ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’ “ a diss track against Lamar that used AI technology to rap verses using both Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur s voices. Drake eventually removed the song from his social media and other streaming platforms  after  Tupac s estate threatened to sue him.

Before it was removed, though, Snoop reacted to the track on Instagram, saying in a video: They did what? When? How? Are you sure? [Sigh] Y all have a good night, he said in a quick video. Why everybody calling my phone, blowing me up? What the fuck ” what happened? What s going on? I m going back to bed. Good night.

Now, Snoop has reacted to Lamar’s mention of him on ‘wacced out murals’, taking to Twitter/X to say: K dot new album GNX, followed by a series of fire emojis. It was the edibles west west king.”

Earlier this week, Snoop insisted that he had no side in the beef, but that he thinks ˜Not Like Us united the West Coast. The track was Lamar s most successful diss, becoming his fourth Number One song  and  breaking Spotify s record for the most streams of a hip-hop song in one day.

In other Snoop news, he  is preparing to release ˜Missionary , the follow-up to his 1993 debut ˜Doggystyle .  It will see him reunite with producer  Dr. Dre  and is due out on December 13 via Death Row Records. It is set to feature a host of stars,  including Sting.

Dre had previously said he hoped for a November release date, and explained that ˜Missionary differs from ˜Doggystyle because: This one s gonna show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music. I feel like this is some of the best music I ve done in my career.

The hip-hop icons recently shared the first taste of the record with lead single ‘Outta Da Blue , which features singer Alus on the chorus, who interpolates  M.I.A. ˜s ˜Paper Planes .
