Taylor Swift fans have been reacting after Lana Del Rey and Kim Kardashian posed for photos together at the 2024 Met Gala.
The ˜Midnights singer was absent from this year s edition of the fashion event, and reportedly skipped the event due to her busy schedule and upcoming run of ˜Eras Tour dates set to kick off in Paris later this week.
While the singer was absent from the Met Gala, her close friend and collaborator Lana Del Rey attended, and sparked a variety of responses after she was seen posing alongside reality star Kim Kardashian. This comes after Swift and Kardashian have been involved in a very public feud over recent years.
In a video shared by Daily Mail on Instagram, Kardashian and Del Rey were seen engaging in a conversation on the red carpet, and standing together to take pictures.
Swift and Kardashian s relationship has been a topic of public scrutiny since 2016, when Kardashian defended her then-husband Kanye West s mention of Swift in his track ˜Famous , in which he claimed he made that bitch famous .
She then insisted that Swift had given him permission to include her in the song and released footage of a phone call between Swift and West about the inclusion of similar lyrics to those that were released, which Swift has since said was recorded illegally and edited .
Swift addressed the situation again in her December 2023 Time Person of the Year interview. That took me down psychologically to a place I ve never been before, she claimed at the time. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.
More recently, she dropped a track on ˜The Tortured Poets Department that many speculate is about her feud with Kardashian. Titled ˜thanK you aIMee , the capitalised letters in the title spell out ˜KIM , and its lyrics are about a bronze, spray-tanned high school bully that some have claimed make reference to the reality star.
Now, despite Lana Del Rey and Swift being friends “ the pair have previously collaborated on the track ‘Snow On The Beach’ and Swift brought her on stage as she accepted her Grammy for Album of the Year award “ fans have been left confused about why the ˜Candy Necklace star chose to pose with Kardashian at last night s event (May 6).

“Lana being friends with Taylor and constantly collaborating with Kim is fucking confusing to me,” a fan wrote online following the moment (via Mirror), while another shared: “There s something so sinister about Kim going out of her way to befriend anyone friends with Taylor like in no universe would she be holding hands with fucking Lana Del Rey if she was not part of that friend group lmfao.”
“Tay isn’t going to like that!” one wrote elsewhere, while another added, “Wow this is bad.”
A third shared: “For Lana to be Taylor’s friend and [for] her to hangout with Kim.. I am sorry but if you do my friend wrong you and I aren t going to be BFF just a girl code personally.

Rumours about Lana Del Rey and Taylor Swift also come after the ˜Video Games singer was asked what her favourite track off ˜The Tortured Poets Department was, to which she struggled to think of any song titles.
The one, ˜Who s Afraid of Little Old Me? ¦ whatever that title was, she said on the red carpet for the Met Gala.
