Tokyo Ghoul: The Complete Series - 10th Anniversary Box Set
$81
If you've never seen it, Tokyo Ghoul takes place in a world where a secret war is being waged between society and a human-like creatures called Ghouls who survive on human flesh. Loner Ken Kaneki finds himself caught in the middle of this conflict after a date turns deadly and a life-saving operation horrifyingly transforms him into a human-ghoul hybrid. With the option of being either the hunter or the hunted, Kaneki has to navigate between new social dynamics while striving to maintain his humanity.
The entire Tokyo Ghoul storyline is spread across 48 episodes, and for this release, that works out to eight Blu-ray discs in total. For the extras, you're getting both of the Jack and Pinto OVA episodes, textless credit sequences, select episode commentary, promo videos, trailers, and a Q&A session with the cast and crew. This is all bundled in a pretty slick slipcase featuring newly commissioned artwork from the animation studio Pierrot.
While the anime is pretty good, the original manga is arguably even better thanks to the elegantly grim art of its creator, Sui Ishida. If you're looking to read it, you can save up to 52% on the complete manga boxsets. The first one, a 14-volume collection, is just $89 and the sequel series Tokyo Ghoul:re is $98 for all 16 volumes. Both of them come in cool slipcases and with double-sided posters.
