For Vans, versatility has always been key. A characteristic evident throughout the entirety of the footwear imprint's archive of in-line sneaker silhouettes and collaborations, Vans' adaptability is particularly prominent at the core of its "always-ready" MTE Crosspath model.
Geared for the skatepark and the surf, the all-terrain MTE Crosspath – which first debuted back in October – is defined by its technicalities, equipped with the necessary features to follow adventures from land to sea (and everywhere in between.)
The rookie sneaker has now dropped off in two new colorways: a sleek all-white edition alongside a vibrant burnt orange one. Lightweight yet incredibly durable, Uppers are crafted from 100% recycled PET and strengthened with abrasion-resistant paneling, a seamless RAPIDWELD™ construction and a non-PFC DWR water-repellent coating. Its midsole is made with at least USDA-Certified Biobased EVA foam derived from plants, with an outsole traction pattern rounding out the bottom of the design. 31% of the rubber used throughout the entirety of the new MTE Crosspath also comes directly from sustainable farms.
Flexing the new joints in the effortlessly Californian lookbook are Vans Surf team riders Chelsea Woody, Grant Noble and Pua DeSoto. Take a closer look at the new MTE Crosspath colorways in the lookbook above and cop a pair when they drop on Vans' official webstore on Thursday, January 9.
