PUMA GOLF is kicking off the new year by revitalizing one of its key golf shoe models for the upcoming season: the IGNITE ELEVATE. The line was first introduced last season as a spikeless performance model to live alongside the brand's premium tour offerings, designed for the customer seeking functionality and comfort without sacrificing traction. This time around PUMA has given the IGNITE ELEVATE 2 a subtle makeover while adding a new silhouette, the IGNITE ELEVATE X, into the fold.
Delivering an initial lineup of four colorways comprised of various neutrals, the ELEVATE 2 takes cues from a traditional golf shoe with its TPU PWRSaddle and narrow toe box. What makes the shoe look more like a sneaker is its streamlined midsole and interplay of synthetic upper materials. Performance wise, IGNITE foam runs the length of the foot ensuring a comfortable ride.
Conversely, the ELEVATE X has a wider toe box and the clean lines of a sneaker while the selection of colorways is more adventurous. The most salient details are the EXOSHELL upper which is reinforced with TPU film and the FLOATPLATE shank which can be viewed on either side of the shoe. Both models share the same spikeless outsole which has over 100 traction lugs.
The IGNITE ELEVATE X and 2 are both available now via PUMA for $130 USD. A TOUR model with changeable spikes will be introduced at a later date.
