This holiday season, Drake gifted major prizes and donations to fans to express his gratitude in his Drizzmas givewaway stream with Adin Ross. During the stream, the Toronto rapper revealed that he has always had an in interest in philanthropy.
In arguably one of his most successful music videos, Drake made a splash when he released the "God's Plan" visuals in 2018 where he gave away nearly one million dollars to the community in Miami. One of his most iconic music videos, Drake revealed on the stream that he had actually approached Amazon's Jeff Bezos with the idea about doing a charity TV show inspired by his music video. While he claims that he never heard back from Bezos, "This is a thing that I wanted to do ever since I shot that ['God’s Plan'] video. I asked Jeff Bezos...The word I got back is that he didn't want to do it," Drake still wants to move forward with the philanthropy show.
Drake told Ross during the livestream, "You see what we're doing tonight?" He later breaks down exactly what he hopes the charity-based TV show would look like sharing, "I want to do 'God's Plan: The TV Show.' Ten episodes a year. I want to travel across the world. I know there’s a lot of billionaires out there, people who have a lot of money, who don’t have a chance to put a face to their charitable actions." Hoping to put his luxurious and extravagant flexes to good, Drizzy seems to still be looking for a green light for the "God's Plan" inspired TV show elsewhere.
