and might not be ready to define their post-Dancing With the Stars relationship, but they did ring in her 27th birthday in style.
“It ended up being a really fun night, just surrounded by everyone who has supported me in the past year, like, producers on different shows that I’ve been on and friends and everything,” Tran exclusively told Us Weekly at the 22nd Annual Unforgettable Gala on Saturday. “It was so perfect.”
Tran also revealed that Farber, 40, “did get [her] some really great birthday gifts” for the occasion.
“I’ll leave that for him to share, but he is very, very kind and thoughtful,” Tran teased.
It wasn’t just Tran and the choreographer at the bash, which took place earlier this month.
“I’m not going to lie to you, I invited a lot of new friends I made in L.A. and I wasn’t sure if anybody was going to come,” she quipped to Us. “Being very new to L.A., I didn’t know that everybody shows up late. So, for the first hour and a half, it was me, Sasha, my brother [], and and . I was like, ‘Guys, this is it. It’s the five of us. No one else is coming.’ And then around like 8:30, everybody showed up all at once, but, oh my God, I was s—-ing myself. I was like, ‘What did I do? No one cares.’”
Tran’s guest list also included several members from Bachelor Nation, including , and more.
The most recent Bachelorette and Farber first met in September hours before the DWTS season 33 cast reveal. While they ultimately were eliminated from the competition on Halloween Nightmares week in October, their connection drew eyebrows about whether the chemistry blossomed into a romance.
“We connect really well on a deeper level,” Tran told Us on Saturday. “I think it was pretty apparent since our first meeting in the airport and how crazy it was. We were able to click so fast and I think that’s really carried us through the time that we’ve known each other is [that] we’ve always been on the same page.”
Since wrapping DWTS, Tran has been crashing on Farber’s couch.
“I will just say that he’s been a really great roommate. He’s the best roommate I’ve ever had,” she said. “He cooks, he cleans, he has two great [dogs] for me to pet all day. It’s been really amazing.”
Tran did not address her relationship status and played coy about whether she and Farber would ring in the holiday season together.
“We’re not so sure yet,” she said. “I’m going to be going back to Boston to see my family. I haven’t seen them in so long and yeah, so we’ll see.”
Before Tran’s trip back east, she stepped out at the 22nd Annual Unforgettable award ceremony to celebrate the community’s achievements.
“I am just, honestly, so honored and grateful to be here, to be invited and to be in this space where I can be so inspired and amongst such greatness,” Tran, who was the first Asian-American lead of the Bachelor franchise, told Us. “This is the moment that I’ve been waiting for and this entire year has been so crazy for me, but to be able to be here and celebrate my culture and other people’s culture and just surrounded by family is incredible.”
