After dropping off a cozy Winter 2024 collection last week, Berlin-based streetwear imprint Civilist is back with an all-new Vans collaboration: a Bauhaus-inspired Skate Authentic duo celebrating the skate label's 15th anniversary.
The joint silhouette plants Civilist's classic smiley face motif inside Vans' traditional checkerboard pattern across two colorways: monochrome black and snow white and a kaleidoscopic blend of red, yellow and blue.

Shot by Andrew White, the dizzying campaign "transports you into a world where product, design, space and reality are fused into one," the brand explained. Brought to life inside a 3m x 3m cubed room, the visuals offer a real-life incarnation of Vans' signature checkerboard heritage.
Civilist took to Instagram on Thursday to thank its community for the last 15 years of business: "Today marks our 15th anniversary and we are more than thrilled about all the support and love from you guys throughout all these years! Running an independent shop can be tough at times and can only succeed with the help of a strong community, friends and family." Alongside its honorary Vans collab, Civilist has also put out a book to celebrate its 15-year milestone, which is currently available for purchase on the brand's webstore.
The Vans x Civilist Authentic will be available to shop through Civilist — both in stores and online — beginning on December 15. Take a look at the design in the gallery above.
