Elliott Evan’s latest capsule collection, Autumn/Winter 2024 Tears Fall, weaves a deeply personal narrative of loss, resilience, and the passage of time. Renowned for his meticulous craftsmanship, Evan has created a visually and emotionally compelling body of work. In collaboration with visual director Mike Schmidt, the collection explores themes of memory, freedom and the fragility of life.
At the core of the collection, Evan transforms Sand and Icelandic lambskin through his distinctive pattern manipulation techniques, creating textures that capture the essence of "floating through life." Inspired by liberating motorcycle rides across dunes with close friends, the designs embody moments of fleeting freedom.
Each garment translates these ephemeral experiences into a visual language of weightlessness and transient beauty. Serving as memento mori, each piece is a poignant reminder of life’s fragility. The choice of leather over conventional fabric underscores this theme, offering a tangible representation of life’s impermanence.
