Activision has announced a crossover between the hit South Korean series Squid Game and its Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone video games with an ominous teaser.
The video shared via the official Call of Duty social channels, shows a Black Ops 6 soldier picking one of the Squid Game business cards off the ground, revealing the ubiquitous symbols from the Netflix production. As the operator examines the card, Squid Game's foreboding choral theme music rises from the background, and the teaser reveals a new co-branded Squid Game x Call of Duty logo.
While the short teaser confirms the arrival in January 2025, other details about the nature of the crossover have not been shared. However, Squid Game's elaborate set design and action-packed sequences offer a wealth of exciting material for the game to adapt and take to new heights under the beloved gaming franchise.
The Call of Duty x Squid Game crossover is announced as season two of the hit show approaches, premiering on December 26 on Netflix. Given that the first season, which premiered in 2021, took the title of Netflix’s most-watched series to date, the bar is high as fans eagerly await the next chapter.
