A pregnant has stepped in for at a recent event.
Beatrice, 36, was spotted attending The King’s Foundation’s Future Textiles exhibition in London on Tuesday, November 12, and met with the foundation’s executives and several students. The royal family member kept it casual while showing off her baby bump in a black dress paired with a trench coat.
This is the first time that Beatrice has been associated with this organization, according to Hello! Magazine.
While Charles, 75, himself was not in attendance, his mark on the foundation was evident. It’s been nearly a decade since Charles launched the Future Textiles program at Dumfries House in Scotland to “help address a skills gap within the UK fashion and textiles industry through education and training.” This is just one initiative he has taken with The King’s Foundation (formerly The Prince’s Foundation), which was formed in 1990.
This is not the first time that Beatrice has stepped in for the monarch, or other senior members of the royal family, in recent months. and Charles leaned on Beatrice when it came to attending events earlier this year amid the royal family’s various health crises. (Both Charles and were diagnosed with cancer.)
Rumors started swirling in March that Beatrice was in consideration for a working royal position. Us Weekly confirmed in May that Beatrice was stepping up when it came to her duties within The Firm. (She is the eldest daughter of and , who are also parents to .)
Along with her growing responsibilities with the royal family, Beatrice is also expanding her own family. She and husband announced on October 1 that they were expecting baby No. 2.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the news in a statement, revealing that Charles is “delighted with the news.” She is set to give birth in the spring.
Us confirmed in 2018 that Beatrice and Edoardo, 40, were dating. They quietly tied the knot in July 2020. Their first child, a daughter named Sienna, was born in September 2021. (Edoardo is also a father to 8-year-old Wolfie, whom he shares with ex-fiancée .)
While Beatrice and Edoardo keep their home life under the radar, Huang did speak out earlier this year about how “easy” it is to coparent with the royal couple.
“Wolfie has had two sets of parents trying to help him on both sides, and I just think, ‘The more, the merrier,’” she told Harper’s Bazaar UK in March. “I feel lucky to have such positive people around him, who really embrace him — because it didn’t have to be so easy.”
