Ashlee avoided the outlet’s questions at first and kept walking, but replied after being asked directly whether it was “true” that Jessica is getting a divorce.
“No,” Ashlee replied before walking off hand in hand with Ross, 36.
TMZ pegged the speculation about Jessica’s relationship to her most recent Instagram post.
“Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic. This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve 🎶 🎼 🤍🖤,” Jessica captioned a series of photos of herself dressed in black knee-high leather boots and a matching furry jacket over a white dress.
Some fans wondered whether Jessica’s comments about things she “did not deserve” were aimed at Johnson, 45, whom she married in 2014.
“Is this j simp saying she’s single ?” one Instagram user questioned in the comments.
Another person wrote that they’d “called” it “a while ago” that Jessica and Johnson were headed for divorce.
Jessica and Johnson have yet to confirm or deny any rumors. Johnson hasn’t made many appearances on Jessica’s Instagram feed lately, although Jessica has gushed about the NFL alum via the platform in the past.
