and his girlfriend, , looked in love during a rare red carpet appearance at the MTV EMAs on Sunday, November 10.
Xheneti, 35, wore a black sheer dress with several cutouts across her torso, and matching black gloves and black boots. Rossdale, 59, wore a sheer black T-shirt and black pants for the occasion.
Rossdale and Xheneti began dating last year, however, the Bush frontman didn’t make things Instagram official until March 2024.
“Hey finally got to have a birthday dinner with my girl @xhoana_x here’s to a year filled with magic for you 🖤,” Rossdale wrote alongside a selfie of the couple.
Later that month, Rossdale shared that he was the one who slid into Xheneti’s DMs — and the pair ultimately connected over their shared love of music.
“She’s a musician so I heard a track,” Rossdale explained on an episode of the “Amy and T.J.” podcast. “So I did do kind of the DM slide saying, ‘I like your music,’ which I do like her music.”
Rossdale noted that he chose to keep things “private” with Xheneti until she wanted to take things public.
“It’s been really cute to let people know that [we’re together],” he said at the time. “She’s very sweet and very supportive. It’s been really good and I guess it’s my new status.”
Rossdale was previously married to from 2002 to 2015. The twosome share sons Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10.
The singer explained that one of his biggest concerns when it came to dating after his divorce was being able to balance spending time with his partner and his commitment to his children.
“I didn’t know that I could do it all and be the single dad who is heroically present for them and not [be] available [to date] for a week,” he said on the podcast, adding that it was “difficult” to balance family life and dating. “And just blending that and [Xheneti] being cool with that and not forcing that.”
Stefani filed for divorce from Rossdale in 2015 after 13 years of marriage.
“While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment,” they shared in a joint statement to Us Weekly at the time.
Rossdale previously opened up about his split with Stefani, 55, and how he wishes he had more of a “connection” with her for the sake of their kids.
“It can be quite debilitating for kids,” he shared on “Amy and T.J.” in March. “The overriding thing is you don’t want to let your kids down.”
Despite Rossdale saying his situation with Stefani — who married in 2021 — was “very contentious” and “hugely emotional,” he explained that he didn’t want to speak poorly about his ex.
“Less said, soonest mended and I said nothing,” he noted. “It’s not my place to say anything. I’m handcuffed because I would never want to overly say anything negative about their mom. That’s just not right.”
