BEAMS BOY — a sub-label of the Japanese fashion label BEAMS that launched in 1998 with the intention of making womenswear inspired by menswear — has returned to deliver its Fall/Winter 2024 collection, a collegiate-coded, Ivy-inspired fashion manifesto that erases the line between gendered style tropes.
This season, the label's collection includes an abundance of campus-inspired garments, like plaid jackets, which layer over striped BD shirts and denim overalls, as well as stadium jumpers decorated with emblematic badges. Elsewhere lettered vests complement Yankees hats for the athletes, while knit beanies dress down V-neck knits for the hipsters; and matching corduroy jackets and slacks, styled with plaid scarves, are made for those on their way to the library.
Down the line, the collection houses a cagoule dress coat, an ultra-functional take on the classic trench silhouette with ample pockets and a gown-like shape. Balvenie jackets are similarly robust, while tweed skirts douse the line with a splash of femininity. Rounding out the range, hats, bags, gloves, pins, belts and loafers complete BEAMS BOY's preppy wardrobe.
BEAMS BOY's Fall/Winter 2024 collection is now available to shop on BEAMS' webstore, with prices ranging from ¥1,650 JPY ($10.67 USD) to ¥75,900 JPY ($490 USD). Take a look at the lineup in the gallery above.
