Daft Punk's 'Alive 2007' Tour Pyramid Is Immortalized in This New LEGO Ideas Set

A new LEGO Ideas set is commemorating Daft Punk's iconic Alive 2007 tour pyramid.

Created by Patrick Harboun and his son, the 2,000-piece build features a motor-powered rotating box of transparent bricks inside the pyramid as well as overhead lighting that recreates the memorable tour prop. Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo are, of course, part of the set, however Harboun delivered an alternative version of the duo's helmets just in case there is a legal issue with the duo's appearance in Pharrell's Piece By Piece LEGO documentary.

The set was conceptualized by the father-son pair during lockdown as a "creative escape" and went on to win the Grand Prize in LEGO's global Music To Our Ears! competition, but was unfortunately not selected to be officially released. "Both huge Daft Punk fans, this build is a fusion of 2 passions," Harboun stated. "I spent my teenage years listening to Homework on my Walkman, while my son’s 1st favorite baby song was 'Get Lucky.' It felt only natural to blend our love for Daft Punk's music with our love for LEGO."

Check out and support the build via the LEGO Ideas website.
