J. Crew x Engineered Garments Prioritizes Pocketing

Under the direction of Brendon Babenzien, J. Crew has gone on quite the collaborative streak. Since joining the heritage menswear label's team in 2021, the label has linked up with streetwear imprints including BEAMS PLUS and UNION LA on joint capsules that push the needle on its traditional style codes. Now, the Babenzien-bolstered brand is joining hands with Daiki Suzuki's Engineered Garments on another release that melds New York City with New England through the lens of Japanese craftsmanship.

The capsule spans vintage workwear, Ivy League classics, and functional outerwear, with each garment, in true Engineered Garments form, coming equipped with tactical features throughout its silhouette.

Standing out at the forefront of the capsule comes the navy-blue corduroy suit jacket and its matching pants. The jacket takes a relaxed yet sophisticated fit and sees patch pocketing crafted from premium cotton corduroy; the single reverse pleated pants are crafted from the same material.

On the outerwear front, the duo presents a military-inspired parka jacket, which takes a heavy-duty layer and comes equipped with a handful of functional details: a two-way zipper with snap placket, hidden Velcro-closure pockets, an adjustable hood and zippered underarm vents.

A plethora of pant silhouettes solidify the release, including the relaxed-fit cargos – built from Engineered Garments' signature pocket placements throughout – and the ever-so-Americana double-pleated chinos.

Peep the limited-release J. Crew x Engineered Garments capsule in the lookbook above, and get it before it's gone at J. Crew's official webstore.
