New images have surfaced of a potential tripartite collaboration between Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, football star Lionel Messi and adidas originals. The Gazelle Indoor variant shown in the video below boasts handwritten names of the two global icons on the three-strip overlays and colors that appear in both of their recent Gazelle models.
The leather upper upgrades the look of the classic model and is accented with a suede toe overlays. The body is doused in a largely taupe hue while titanium white accentuates the eyestays, laces and stripes. A subtle accent of vibrant blue, recalling Bad Bunny x adidas Gazelle Indoor 'San Juan' appears on the tongue tag and the insole. adidas's classic translucent brown rubber soles bring emphasis to the heritage aspect of the silhouette.
With three collaborators that have plenty to offer, without becoming overstated or gimmicky the final result has restrained luxury sensibility. Lately, adidas has been experimenting more with a fluid approach to collaboration, inviting more partners across different demographics and industries to synthesize new designs. Another successful example is Clarks Originals x Ronnie Fieg x adidas 8th Street Samba, which brought the two footwear brands together under the Kith founder.
While an official release date has not been confirmed, rumors suggest a November release. Stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates.
