Netflix Officially Cancels 'That '90s Show'

Netflix has officially cancelled its That '70s Show sequel spinoff series, That '90s Show.

The news was announced by actor Kurtwood Smith, who played Red Forman in both the original and sequel, via social media. He shared a behind-the-scenes photo with the caption, "I know you have been asking me when season 3 is coming, but I have tough news…Netflix will not be renewing." The actor did confirm, however, that they will shop the show to other platforms in order to at least give the series a proper ending, "To steal Red Forman’s words…we aren’t going to be dumbasses…we will shop the show, because good grandparents would try hard to get these kids graduated from high school."

News of the cancellation came as a surprise to viewers, with many commenting that the sequel had only just begun to find its footing with the second season. For those who aren't caught up (spoilers ahead), the ending of season two saw Leia Forman, Donna and Eric Forman's daughter, finally convince her parents to let her stay in Point Place with her friends for the new school year.

Stay tuned for more info.
