42 years later, the Nike Air Force 1 is still one of Nike's most prominent lifestyle silhouettes. Over its lengthy lifespan the Swoosh has treated the beloved sneaker to countless different colorways and remixes, with recent hits ranging from a waterproof iteration to a F&F-exclusive project with L’Art de L’Automobile. Now, a new report from Sneaker Files has outlined what to expect from the sneaker in 2025.
After a sample pair of Nike SB-designed Air Force 1s popped up in June, a new rumor is pointing towards the rollout of the skate-oriented Air Force 1 SK8. While it will be designed for skateboarding -- featuring retooling that supports active use -- it is said to not be a part of the Nike SB line. Key elements reported include a padded tongue, larger laces, a colored outsole and a nubuck overlay at the toe and heel for durability. The three rumored colorways are "Stadium Green," "Psychic Blue" and a versatile "White/Black."
At the time of writing, Nike has not yet announced the Air Force 1 SK8. Stay tuned for updates, including a first look at the new silhouette, as it is currently expected to drop next summer via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a $120 USD price point for adults and $100 USD price point for grade school sizes.
