Jordan Brand has officially announces Jayson Tatum's third signature shoe. The recent NBA champion launches the Jordan Tatum 3 as a new court-ready silhouette in the duo's partnership.
In an official statement, Tatum said, "I don't take having a signature shoe for granted. I'm grateful to be in a position where I can co-create with Jordan Brand and have fans connect with me through my shoe. My favorite part of the 3s is the way they take on color, so my hope is that we inspire and energize a lot of people through the colorway storytelling." The Tatum 3 features a new upper that incorporates data from the Nike Sport Research Lab that sees a layering of materials in certain areas to provide more power, comfort and support. The shoe also features Cushlon 3.0 foam and a Zoom Air insert to give the upper its frame to promote lateral movements.
The Tatum 3 continues to showcase Jayson's commitment to his family, as reflected in the fluid lines throughout. Similar to the Tatum 2s, his son Deuce's name is featured on the inside of the tongue just opposite his signature JT logo. His number "0" is placed on the heel alongside unique mottos. His "Find A Way" quote is also seen on the medial side of the shoe. The Tatum 3s are launching in three colorways -- "Welcome to the Garden" which symbolizes his own family tree and surrounding community; "Zero Days Off" is a nod to his hard work and self-motivation, feeling zero pressure from the world outside; finally, "Sidewalk Chalk" is a pastel-hued sneaker that is inspired by playful childhood moments that Deuce spends with his father Jayson drawing on sidewalks.
In celebration of the launch, an exclusive pairing of the Tatum 3 and Air Jordan 1 are releasing at CNCPTS in Boston on October 5. The Air Jordan 1 incorporates Tatum's themes and the Jordan Tatum 3 "Welcome to the Garden" colorway is part of the exclusive pairing. The Tatum 3s will be available globally on Jordan starting on October 10.
