Travis Scott and Spotify are gearing up to celebrate La Flame's breakout album Days Before Rodeo in a big way. In celebration of the album's 10th anniversary, the streaming platform is releasing a mini-documentary, chronicling how the project became an era-defining album. The concert film takes fans on a one-night-only journey to celebrate the the Houston rapper's decade of success since the release of the album, which was his second commercial mixtape following Owl Pharaoh.
Titled Spotify Presents: Days Before Rodeo, the mini concert film is slated to drop on Spotify's YouTube page. The mini doc follows a one-night epic concert in Atlanta back in August where La Flame brought fans back to the Days Before Rodeo era. The sold-out show saw a DJ set by Chase B and Quavo perform as the surprise guest. Highlighting Scott's signature high-octane, high energy at his concerts, fans will get a chance to relive the live moments of his performances of "Mamacita," "Basement Freestyle," "Drugs Don't Play," "Skyfall" and more.
In a statement from Josh Peas, Head of Hip Hop and R&B - Artist Partnerships at Spotify, he said, "Travis Scott's Days Before Rodeo is an era-defining project. Leading up to the 10th anniversary of the mixtape and its release on streaming, we wanted to celebrate the moment and capture the energy it's brought to all the ragers. By partnering with the Cactus Jack team on an underplay show in Atlanta for his top fans on Spotify, we were able to bring it back to where it all began. As a tribute to the special night and something for everyone to enjoy, the release of the concert doc is the perfect time capsule to tell this story for years to come." The album featured big name collaborations including Migos, Big Sean, Young Thug and even the late Rich Homie Quan.
