2025 will mark the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1, one of sneaker culture's most important silhouettes, and based on rumors regarding the sneaker, Jordan Brand is not holding back with its celebration of the shoe. Already, a "Shattered Backboard" reissue, "UNC Reimagined" colorway and Air Jordan 1 Hi '85 "Bred" are expected to release next year.
Now, a new rumor from zSneakerHeadz, Brandon1an and Sneaker Market RO is pointing towards another Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG project. The duo worked on the silhouette in 2018, producing two colorways that combined vintage aesthetics with a stitched-together style that saw mismatched collars applied to each pair. For 2025, it is expected that this design approach will be utilized once again, as visualized via the mock-up above that imagines its "Varsity Red," "Black," "Sail," "Shadow Grey" and "Muslin" color composition.
At the time of writing, neither Union LA nor Jordan Brand have confirmed that another Air Jordan 1 High OG is coming from them next year. That being said, it is currently expected to arrive in the "Varsity Red" and "Shadow Grey" makeover on February 12 of next year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
