Berlin Fashion Week might just be the next big thing. The bustling German metropolis is known for its hardcore raves and darkened fashion aesthetic, but in reality, it’s so much more. While not as glamorous as Milan and Paris, Berlin Fashion Week is measuring up to Copenhagen with emerging designers looking to stand out from the crowd. The fashion glitterati landed in the German capital for Spring/Summer 2025, wrapping up the menswear season with over 30 runways from up-and-coming designers.

The occasion was met with Berlin’s summer downpours, flooding the city with excitement for fresh talent. From well-established labels like Marie Lueder’s LUEDER or GmbH by Serhat Işık and Benjamin Huseby to rising stars including Balletshofer and SF1OG, Berlin Fashion Week is establishing itself as a fashion powerhouse to keep an eye on. The four-day occasion has wrapped up, seeing numerous designers shine bright under the spotlight while presenting striking collections with clear visions.

Read on to discover the designers you should keep on your radar from Berlin Fashion Week SS25.

Emilia Pfohl and Nan Li’s Namilia is the reigning champion of Berlin Fashion Week. The design duo inserted laughter and extravagance into the penultimate day, showcasing their move from New York to Berlin was a step in the right direction. Provocative, sensual, and dynamic, Namilia joined hands with iconic ‘90s label Ed Hardy for a graphic-heavy collaboration that overwhelmed its runway. Pfohl and Li dived into the archive to unearth several hidden classics, upcycling old-school looks into modern uniforms for contemporary bad girls. The sensual collection came sizzling down the runway with “I Heart Ozempic” and “Too Pretty for Rehab” tanks. Ed Hardy’s tattoo-inspired graphics pierced through miniature swimwear, low-slung leather trousers, and barely-there mini skirts, while shredded denim and printed latex reformed into party-ready looks for wild nights out.

London-based designer Marie Lueder has become a standout talent beyond her territory. Her utilitarian design language was present at Berlin Fashion Week, rounding guests inside the Tempodrom performance center for an unexpected showcase. A vaping model took the runway first, hosting a detailed smoke performance while debuting an apocalyptic collection that maintained a positive outlook. The LUEDER range brought an updated approach to “medieval-style sportswear,” portraying bespoke details that are rough around the edges. Ruffled nylon skirts were mixed with ribbed jersey and scrunched outerwear, followed by deconstructed layered T-shirts, flapped jorts, and flame-induced graphics. LUEDER stood her grown with determination, kicking off Berlin Fashion Week with retro-futurism taken from alternative realms.

Designer Sophie Claussen chose to ignite a public runway show under Berlin’s afternoon drizzle. Her label, AVENIR, embraced representation for SS25 and portrayed distinct German personalities with daily uniforms and impactful accessories. A local band charged the showcase with laidback tunes as models took the runway in dainty womenswear and utilitarian menswear. Beige suits were upgraded with moto-inspired belts and wide-spread collars, while additional uniforms came undone with unfastened neckties carrying patched shipping boxes. Relaxed knitted co-ords were upgraded for a sleek look, editing casual sweatsuits into maxi skirt ensembles. Canadian tuxedos were viewed through a practical lens, accompanied by AVENIR bicycles for supreme city transportation. Branded newspapers, denim-drenched grocery carts, and old-school audio devices jumped from look to look with an easygoing attitude, seeing AVENIR steal the crown for the best accessories of SS25.

All abroad HADERLUMP ATELIER! Lead designer Johann Ehrhardt knows how to put on a show, and SS25 was no different. A few miles outside Berlin’s city center, HADERLUMP ATELIER escorted guests into Tempelhof airport – one of its oldest, which shuttered in 2008. Dismantled aircrafts doubled as stage decorations inside a vacant lot, taking inspiration from vintage uniforms destined for adventure. Hanger six housed 28 looks reimagining aero gear, ranging from shrunken MA1 flight jackets to deconstructed denim dresses and asymmetrical boiler suits. HADERLUMP ATELIER was ready for flight in elongated trench coats and patchwork denim, embarking on a new journey in paneled leather vests, disheveled mesh tops, and corseted shirting. SS25 previewed HADERLUMP ATELIER’s revolutionary stance, jetting into the future with an eye for aviation.

If you’ve never heard of Allan Balletshofer, now is the time to get familiar. The emerging German designer debuted his second collection inside the Martin Gropius Bau Museum at Berlin Fashion Week. In the ocean of fashion talent, Balletshofer made it clear that he is one to watch. His minimalistic vision of contemporary menswear ruled SS25 with a subtle edge, presenting 16 looks with tonal uniformity. Beauty was in the details for Balletshofer, seeing smooth leather outerwear don elevated pockets at the chest, while tweed variations were accessorized with slim neckties and cable-clad headphones. Oversized wool coats were ideal for the gloomy German weather, followed by laced shirting and motorsport garbs with contrast pipping.
