Nivada Grenchen Reissues Its Iconic F77 Model in Titanium

Nivada Grenchen is bringing back the F77, its bestselling icon from the ’70s in a refreshing new build. Instead of the original stainless steel, the timepiece is resurrected in grade 5 titanium, making the reissues significantly lighter — weighing only 86 grams, while its predecessor in steel weighed 126 grams. Aside from the change in case material, the new F77 comeback presents four alluring dials: Meteorite, Anthracite, Aventurine and Lapis Lazuli.

The Meteorite is offered as a pre-order-only limited-edition, featuring a dial metallic gray dial that’s crafted from real meteorite fragments. Also boasting a gray hue, the Anthracite features a basket-weave patterned dial that embodies the spirit of the original F77. Meanwhile, the Aventurine emanates a mystical charm with its shimmering dial that’s doused in a deep blue. As for Lapis Lazuli, the variant features its namesake gemstone in an intense blue tone that evokes splendor and fascinating mosaic-like details that derive from the earth.

Arriving in a 37mm case size, the new F77 faithfully recreates its classic proportions and silhouettes, complete with an integrated metal bracelet that adds to its sport-chic and retro aesthetics. Powered by the Swiss-made SOPROD P024 mechanical self-winding movements, the watches are all geared with 38 hours of power reserve as well as 10 ATM of water resistance.

Prices go between $1,390 - $1,700 USD, the new F77 watches will be available via Nivada Grenchen’s official website starting April 25, 5:00 p.m. CEST. While pre-orders will open on April 19.
