Glass Animals Slated To Take a 'Tour of Earth' in Support of Forthcoming Album

Glass Animals is set to embark on its most extensive tour yet: of the entire Earth. Entitled the Tour of Earth, the band will take its upcoming new album across the world with a lineup of stacked supporting talent: Eyedress, Kevin Abstract, Blondshell and The Big Moon.

The tour announcement comes one day after the band announced its fourth studio album I Love You So F*cking Much, which is slated to drop on July 19, 2024. "Creatures In Heaven" – the first offering from the anticipated project – was unveiled yesterday. Apple Music indicates the album is composed of ten songs, with titles including "whatthehellishappening?" and "How I Learned To Love The Bomb."

Tour of Earth is an expansive one, kicking off its North American leg in early August in Charlotte, North Carolina. The band will also make stops at Madison Square Garden, Red Rocks and the Shoreline Amphitheater before heading overseas to visit the UK.

"hello humans of earth! how r u? we have missed playing for u v much. we can’t wait to play u the new music…i think this album will be exceptionally fun live," the group wrote in an Instagram caption.

As for the album, the group wrote a lengthier explanation about the unexpected project: "These are love songs. they look at all the twisted shapes and forms of love, good and bad. they were born out of a large existential crisis. so maybe it is fair to call them 'existential love songs.' I tried to work my way out of this existential crisis, and that resulted in some writing. that writing ended up being the backbone to this album."

Read the full explanation in the Instagram post, and check out the full lineup of Tour of Earth dates – as well as each show's designated supporting act – below.
