After presenting its first US archival exhibition during Frieze Los Angeles earlier this month, Stone Island has returned to pull back the curtain on its Marina Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
In a Nick Waplington-shot campaign starring multi-disciplinary artist Soldier, the line centers raw textures, graphic stripes and the classic white and royal blue Stone Island Marina water prints. Among the standout silhouettes, the boatneck knit sweater employs organic cotton with airbrush color-spraying; and the hooded blouson enlists light linen canvas with pigmented resins. A hooded knit sweater, meanwhile, dons an oversized fit with a V-neck construction and reverse stocking stitch paneling, while a raw linen overshirt highlights its natural material with garment washing.
The collection's bottoms include chino trousers made with the same light linen canvas and garment washing technique, as well as swimming trunks composed of nylon canvas. Bermuda shorts also boast the hero linen material, while other iterations of the signature silhouette tap heavy cotton jersey. Rounding out the lineup, large tote bags are built with double-twisted cotton tela, and six-panels caps feature Stone Island Marina branding across the front of their facades.
